Recognition- SIF-Free Completion of 2025 Removals
Email from Sr. Decommissioning Engineer with Chevron
All,
Congratulations and thank you for the successful, SIF-free completion of 2025 facility removals! Each one of you played a part in making this happen, and I appreciate your efforts. I’m most proud of and appreciate the collective commitment toward working safely. We made a lot of progress in how we work together that I expect will pay both safety and business dividends. Thank you for challenging the status quo, pausing work, involving others, and the many other steps that it takes “to do it safely or not at all” from the onset of planning and engineering to the final anchor up. I look forward to de-briefing over the next couple of months to ensure that best practices are maintained and opportunities are evaluated in anticipation of future work together.
Email response from the Health & Safety Manager for Chevron’s Asset Retirement Unit
Gents,
I am incredibly proud and thankful for all your support to this year's offshore platform removal campaign. Executing this amount of high-risk work safely is not a coincidence and does not happen without a lot of hard work. John's note below and others are a direct reflection of all your coaching, planning, relationship building, and commitment to the team to ensure we execute this work safely. It's not every day that we get to hear from our contractors on the impact we've made on their culture and programs, so I hope you all are proud of the journey and the overall success. Thanks for being a part of this team and helping us achieve another successful outcome for Chevron AR!
PHILLIP RUFFNER, MARK CULTER, and CHARLES MURCHISON: From your family at ISS, we applaud your outstanding contributions, going above and beyond to assure that every platform removal was executed safely! CONGRATULATIONS and continue “DOING IT SAFELY or NOT AT ALL!”
